Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)
COPPA applies to the online collection of personal information from children under age 13. PSA complies with COPPA and does not knowingly collect personal information about children.
You Send Us Personal Information
Any personal information shared with us, as in an email to the Director or other staff or by filling out a form and submitting it to us through our website, is used to respond to your message. This also helps us to locate the information you have requested. We treat emails the same way we handle paper-based correspondence sent to PSA.
We are required to maintain many documents under the Federal Record Act for historical purposes. However, we do not collect personal information for any purpose other than to respond to you. We only share the information you give us with another government agency if your inquiry relates to that agency or as otherwise required by law. Additionally, we do not create individual profiles with the information you provide, nor will the information you provide be shared with private organizations. PSA does not collect information for commercial marketing.
When We Link You to Another Website
Our website has links to several other federal agencies and other organizations. Once you access another site through a link that we provide, you are subject to the Privacy Policy of the other organization’s site. Links on our website to other, external websites do not constitute PSA’s endorsement of that website or its content.
Cookies
When you visit some websites, their web servers generate pieces of information known as cookies. Some cookies collect personal information to recognize your computer in the future.

Website Security
Information presented on our website is considered public information and may be distributed or copied. Use of appropriate byline/photo/image credits is requested.
For security purposes and to ensure this service remains available to all users, we use special software programs for monitoring network traffic to identify unauthorized attempts to upload or change information, or to otherwise cause damage to this government computer system. These programs collect no information that would directly identify individuals, but they do collect information that could help us identify someone attempting to tamper with this website.
If you use this system, you should understand that all activities may be monitored and recorded. Anyone using this system expressly consents to such monitoring. If such monitoring reveals possible evidence of criminal activity, monitoring records may be provided to law enforcement officials.
Except for authorized law enforcement investigations, we make no other attempts to identify individual users or their usage habits. We only use raw monitoring data logs for determining trends in usage patterns and in diagnosing system problems.
